Introducing spark interior style. Is that trumpets heralding in the distance?

After years of operating under the business name of Design on the Side, I finally realized that my interior decorating business was not on the sidelines anymore. It is front and center, thanks to constant referrals from my clients. I seem to have carved out a little niche for myself as relaxed, creative designer and my business name needed to say that. “The Not-so-hoity-toity Designer” was way too long for a name, so I went for spark! — short and simple.

I love working with families and individuals to improve their quality of life at home through design. I like to think that my goal is to add a little “spark” to my clients’ homes so they truly feel that their home is a reflection of them, their lifestyle and their priorities.

I continue to meet with clients in their homes for design consultations and assistance with everything from selecting paint colors to coordinating remodels. I now offer e-decorating services packaged as sparKits. These are custom made packages including everything a DIY decorator needs to execute a room makeover. All the communication with the client is done via e-mail or the phone, which keeps the costs under control and which allows for flexibility with busy schedules.

Finally (and obviously), I am thrilled to present my new website designed by the wonderful Bella Guzmán of Hirewire Creative. This website is way over due, so thank you for your patience. I appreciate my clients keeping me in business (with no advertising at all) by referring me to their friends. I am still working on collecting photos from past projects, so more pictures will be added soon.
