Karen Barbé has stolen my heart. My eyes. My down comforters!! The ethereal duvet cover you see here is made up of her light grey & wasabi tiles screen-printed on white organic cotton sateen.

Karen is an oh-so-talented textile designer based in Santiago, Chile. I hope I get to meet her one day. Until then, I’ll have to enjoy visiting her lovely online shop and sharing emails back and forth (she was kind enough to respond personally to a complementary email I dashed off one morning.) I love making artsy pals across the globe.

I adore her sense of color and pattern. A walk with her down a village street is a feast for the eyes…as shown above…via her gorgeous blog. You can tell that she sees beauty everywhere and weaves rich wisps of all sorts of inspiration into her works.

Better still, she supports the crafter in all of us by selling packs of her individual printed fabric tiles so that we can make our own Karen Barbé inspired pieces. Like the table runner above. Table runner? I see a scarf! (Hey, kitchen table, the line starts here.)
thanks for another beautiful morning wandering in your creative world, karen.

To ensure that such a house is clean and neat, you can rely on professionals like cleaning service Las Vegas. Featured in Canadian House & Home magazine, “Emily Walker, [...]

It’s tempting sometimes to think of the color grey in formal terms, but don’t get stuck there; Grey is a very versatile fellow. Here’s a perfect example of grey hanging loose with the sweatshirt and sneakers crowd. This cheeky mix of blue and orange look turbo-charged in this image from Living Etc magazine. And for [...]
