One of my favorite shops online is Three Potato Four. Not only does it have amazing vintage finds and original art & home accessories, but the folks who run it are every bit as interesting and original as the items they sell.

Stu and Janet travel and search the world over for their finds. You can follow them on their travels with their two adorable children when you follow their lovely blog.

Their online storefront is a feast for the eyes. Grab a cup of coffee. Click Away. Accept Cookies. (the real kind) And enjoy.

Did you watch this season of Design Star? If so, you’ll already know that adorable and quirky Emily Henderson won her own show. Secrets from a Stylist premieres this Sunday on HGTV and we are very curious to watch what happens. Emily’s style is considered bohemian chic because of the way she layers interesting random [...]

“Art for Your Eyes!” Local Austin artist Rory Skagen cracks me up with that tag line. His work is retro-humorous and beefy, with a seamy darkness lurking about the edges. He works in 2d and 3d, as well as producing art for interior and exterior spaces – love his versatility. Check out Blue Genie Art [...]

Company C is a gorgeous source for rugs, furniture, accessories and color. I was drawn into their store in Maine like a bee swarming into a garden party. Their use of color and pattern makes me want to roll on every rug, sit in every chair, flounce down on every bed and turn on every [...]

It’s here! Summer has ended (even though it’s eleventy million degrees) and it’s back to school, back to the routine, and back to business. I’m starting to panick just a tiny bit because I haven’t got all my new systems securely in place in my new house. I think I’ll be winging it the first [...]

We almost never use our fireplace and that means we have a gaping black hole in our room. Is there any way we can decorate that space the 360 days of the year we don’t use the fireplace? In August in Texas, the thought of a cozy fireside evening is enough to make us go [...]

Small urban yards can feel like big spaces. When space is at a premium, think about creating rooms outdoors rather than designing a backyard. This gate, much like the one in last week’s post, provides a place to transition from the cares of the day. The simple crushed stone path to the back of the [...]

In case you’re the sort of shopper who prefers to click a mouse rather than browse a store, we thought we’d share some on-line finds from Garnet Hill. The fall catalog just arrived and we’ve already spotted some goodies. Fun and tasteful shower curtains are not easy to come by, so we are delighted by [...]
