Wall Hooks, Where are You?

In yesterday’s Q & A post on hooking some wall storage, I promised to provide resources and suggestions for not-so-ordinary wall hooks. Better late than never, I am finally delivering on that promise after some technical difficulties and distractions today. This is the kind of thing that I could research for hours, which I did, because I obsess over details. I’m that kinda girl. Remember your choices for wall hooks? Go for single hooks that can be strategically placed or opt for multiple hooks mounted in a row on a rail. I adore these antique industrial schoolhouse hooks but they’re not cheap. The shelf with hooks and vase holder is versatile and is available in various finishes. In the final example, mismatched vintage hardware is mounted on a board and doorknobs are repurposed (DIY alert!)
More creative hooks: Wallpaper block double hooks, novelty bird hooks, personalized spoon hooks, and rustic birch hooks.
Okay, so here’s the bottom line on shopping for wall hooks. For basic, no-frills hooks, hit the hardware store— but remember, you get what you pay for. If you prefer classic or antique inspired hooks, try Restoration Hardware, House of Antiques, or Signature Hardware. Looking for stainless steel contemporary holders of things? Try All Modern. Finally, to find unique or repurposed hooks, search Etsy first or visit Anthropologie (oh-so-cute examples below).
